VBS Programs for Churches

THE BEST PART OF AN ALREADY GREAT WEEK

Your kids have been living it all week.
Now their parents get to experience it.

You’ve put an enormous amount of care into this year’s VBS. The theme is set, the curriculum is ready, and your team has poured themselves into making it a week these kids will never forget.

But there’s one moment that can bring the whole week together – a family night where everything the children learned, experienced, and carried home in their hearts gets to land in a fresh and powerful way for the parents sitting right beside them.

That’s exactly what a VBS Program with Eric Reamer provides.

A family evening where the wonder your kids experienced all week becomes something their parents get to witness – and experience – for themselves.

What the Evening Looks Like

One evening. The whole family, together.

A VBS Program with Eric is a 60 to 90 minute family illusion show – built specifically around your curriculum theme, your key scriptures, and the lessons your kids have been absorbing all week. It works equally well as a kickoff to launch the week with energy and anticipation, or as a closing celebration that sends families home with the message ringing in their ears.

Eric works with whatever curriculum your church has chosen. You share the theme, the key scriptures, and the heart of what you want families to walk away with – and he builds the evening around exactly that.

The illusions capture every age in the room. The humor keeps it light and genuinely fun. And the message, woven naturally throughout, gives parents a front-row seat to what their children have been discovering all week – delivered in a way that’s just as meaningful for the adults as it is for the kids.

A dynamic blend of engaging illusions, wholesome humor, and a straightforward Gospel message brings families together in a shared experience.

For many parents in the room, this evening is simply easier to say yes to. They came for their child. But what they encounter is something they weren’t quite expecting – a message that’s warm, accessible, and genuinely hard to walk away from unmoved.

Eric has spent years refining this format to serve both audiences at once. The kids are completely engaged. The parents are right there with them. And at the end of a night full of wonder and laughter, the whole family goes home having experienced something real… an encounter with the Lord.

How we make it happen

1. A Brief Conversation

We start with a phone or email conversation about your VBS – the theme, the curriculum, the age range of your kids, and what a successful evening looks like for your church. That conversation shapes everything that comes after.

2. We Find the Right Date

Whether you’re looking for a kickoff night or a closing celebration, we’ll find a date that fits your VBS schedule and gives your team enough time to invite families well. I’ll check availability and we’ll lock it in together.

3. Your Share the Theme – Eric Does the Rest

You send the theme title, key scriptures, and any curriculum notes that feel relevant. Eric builds the evening around exactly that – so when families arrive, the program feels like a natural and exciting extension of everything their kids have already experienced that week.

4. A Night the Whole Family Remembers

Kids are wide-eyed. Parents lean in. The message is reenforced – not just for the children who lived it all week, but for every adult in the room hearing it fresh. Families go home together, talking about the same thing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Eric work with our specific VBS curriculum?

Absolutely. Eric works with whatever curriculum your church has chosen – Lifeway, Group, Orange, Answers in Genesis, or anything else. You share the theme and key scriptures, and he builds the program around them. The goal is for the evening to feel like a seamless part of your VBS week, not something separate from it.

Does this work for VBS programs of any size?

Yes. The program scales comfortably in both directions. Whether you’re expecting a small group of families in a fellowship hall or a large crowd in your main auditorium, the evening is designed to feel personal and engaging regardless of the room size. If you’re unsure whether your situation is a good fit, that’s exactly what our first conversation is for.

Does this work better as a kickoff or a closing night?

Both work well, and each serves a different purpose. A kickoff night launches the week with excitement and anticipation, giving kids something to talk about on day one. A closing celebration brings the week’s theme home for the whole family together. Eric can help you think through which format makes the most sense for your church and your goals.

How long is the performance?

This family show runs 60 to 90 minutes. It’s long enough to be a genuinely memorable evening, and short enough to work for families with young children on a weeknight.

What are the A/V and sound requirements?

Eric travels with his own equipment and is largely self-contained. Basic sound reinforcement and a clear performance area are typically all that’s needed. He’ll walk through the specifics with you well in advance so there are no surprises on the night.

How far in advance should we book?

Six to eight weeks is the minimum we’d recommend. VBS calendars fill up quickly, and your team will want enough runway to invite families well. That said, if you have a summer date in mind, it’s worth reaching out sooner rather than later.

Is this the right fit
for your VBS?

If you’re looking for a way to bring the whole family together around the theme your kids have lived all week – and to put the Gospel in front of parents in a way that’s warm, winsome, and genuinely hard to forget. I’d love to have a conversation. I’ll be honest with you about whether this is a good fit, and what it could look like for your specific week. No obligation, just a conversation.

The best VBS moments don’t stay with the kids. They come home with the whole family.
